The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport has been spotted on our roads and we believe that the launch is around the corner. The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport is the most powerful vehicle in the segment and gets a new 1.2-litre engine with a 130PS output.
Engine and Powertrain
Taking off from 0-60 km/h in 5 seconds, the all-new XUV300 TurboSport is powered by the 1.2 L TGDi petrol engine that delivers 96 kW (130 PS) Power @ 5000 rpm and 230 Nm of torque @ 1500-3750 rpm (35% higher than top competitors). It also gets an ‘overboost’ function that boosts peak torque output all the way up to 250Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Exterior and Features
Mahindra says that the new XUV300 TurboSport draws inspiration from the Mahindra Super XUV300, the current Indian National Rally Champion (INRC) forerunner and the winner of 6 national rallies since its rally debut in 2019. The XUV300 TurboSport features sporty design elements like red grille inserts, all-black ORVMs, all-black leatherette interiors, chrome-finish pedals and dual-tone exteriors.
It is offered in four new colour options - 3 new dual-tone colors - Blazing Bronze with a black rooftop, Napoli Black with a white rooftop, Pearl White with a black rooftop and Blazing Bronze in monotone. Existing monotone Pearl White and Napoli Black continue to be offered with this variant. On the inside, it gets black-themed interiors with leatherette seats and chrome-finish pedals.
In terms of features, it gets convenience features like dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers & auto headlamps, rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, 17.78 cm infotainment, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity, electrically adjustable & foldable ORVMs, micro-hybrid technology, steering mounted controls, etc.
The new XUV300 TurboSport gets the widest-in-class dimensions & longest-in-class wheelbase of 2600mm resulting in the most spacious cabin.
Safety
The XUV300 is one of India’s safest vehicles with a 5-star GNCAP Safety rating, 4-star Child Safety, and India’s first vehicle to be given the GNCAP ‘Safer Choice’ award. In terms of equipment, it comes loaded with all 4-wheel disc brakes, front parking sensors, 6 airbags, ESP with hill start assist, ABS, passenger airbag deactivation switch, ISOFIX seats, Corner Braking Control, etc.
Expected Price
The new Mahindra XUV300 TurboSPort is expected to be priced from Rs 42.95 lakh onwards and the top-spec variant will cost around Rs 60 lakh. The new Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport will be available in three primary variants – W6, W8, and W8(O).
The XUV300 TurboSport rivals turbo-petrol variants of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and Tata Nexon.
